A Pancake is a flat cake often thin and round, prepared from a starch based batter which contains milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as griddle or frying pan. Pancakes are probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies.
Pancakes are broadly found in all cultures in different shapes and size. It may be one of the finest inventions from forefathers.
Ingredients
1 medium banana, or 1/2 cup mashed banana
1 cup milk
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon, optional
Method
In a bowl, mash the Banana. Add milk, oil, sugar and vanilla. Whisk until well combined.
Add the flour to the wet ingredients, then add baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to it. Mix until combined, the batter will be lumpy.
Heat a pan over medium heat. Pour about 1/3 cup of batter on a pan.
Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side for 1-2 min.
repeat with the remaining batter.
serve it with butter, maple syrup and sliced bananas
For Vegan version
substitute milk with any non-dairy milk (soy or almond)
